Besides clinical work, Juan teaches at San Diego State University in the Department of Counseling & School Psychology in the Community Based Block graduate counseling program. Juan has also provided trainings on LGBTQ mental health, working with Latinos in community mental health settings, and supervising diverse mental health clinicians. Juan completed his doctoral degree and masters degree at Widener University in the field of Human Sexuality, with a focus on Clinical Sexology. Juan also completed his Masters of Science degree in Counseling from San Diego State University.
